Château Calmeyn - Drogenbos
The Atelier D'Offard has faithfully recreated the wallpaper of the former dining room in Drogenbos, meticulously reproducing its original motifs. This project required exceptional craftsmanship, including the creation of a custom mold and the artisanal production of the patterns. The wallpaper, of the kinkarakawakami type, stands out for its unique texture and refined aesthetic.
This style of wall covering, highly popular from the late 19th to the early 20th century, has its origins in Japan before being popularized in Europe by major English firms. The Drogenbos model was notably identified in a catalog of the Rothman & Co. company, published around 1905.
